10 Years of Friendship

Celebrate our ten years of friendship just the other day at PS. Cafe, located at Orchard Paragon.

Well, our initial plan was to have Korean BBQ in Chinatown but due to the recent haze condition in Singapore, we ultimately decided to switch to something less heaty and that's how we ended up at PS. Cafe. My first time there and frankly speaking I thought the food were rather mediocre? Even their signature truffle fries didn't mange to wow me.

While the food didn't particularly stand out, it was the company that matters.

Though we don't meet up every other week, we still try to arrange for dinner at least once every 1 to 3 months.

If you know me, you will know that I'm not someone who will ring up my friends and ask them out for dinner. Most of the time they are the ones who will take the lead to text and arrange for dinner.. And I really appreciate that.

The Usual Place @ Jurong East

Discovered yet another café for brunch and this time round at some place nearer to home.


I'm not sure how well known this place was but I've never heard any one mentioned about this place, until I came across someone's dayre account recently and the person mentioned about going to this café located at Jurong East. Made a mental note to myself and suggested to go there on a Sunday afternoon for lunch.

Didn't take me long to locate the place as it was quite near to my old house in Jurong East.

Just did a google search and this place was newly opened in July 2015.


The prices of the food here is definitely much more affordable than most of the other café that I been to, since there is no GST nor service charge. I think location plays a part? This café was located right below an HDB flat.


The Boyfriend ordered the Carbonara Pasta (S$7.90), which in my opinion, was nothing special. However I must say the pasta was well cooked and presentation was on point.

BERGS / Outback Steakhouse

Venturing out to other parts of Singapore that we seldom been to and this time round we were in the East!

East Coast Road, to be exact.

Having live in the West for my entire life, I must say Eastern part of Singapore is like a totally unfamiliar territory for me.


We actually spotted quite a number of cafés / eateries around, but eventually decided on BERGS. While they have more than one outlet in Singapore, I've never heard about this place.


We were actually pretty hungry, and burgers since like a fairly good option!


Since it was our first visit, we've no idea what was nice on the menu. We initially thought of ordering one burger each.. But on second thought, we decided to go for the Mini BERGS which allows us to choose three different mini burgers.

Wheeler's Yard @ 28 Lor Ampas

Few Saturdays ago, the Boyfriend brought up the idea of heading out for brunch and suggested going to Wheeler's Yard, located at 28 Lor Ampas.

I have no idea where that place was and after google-ing for the address, we realized it's located somewhere near to Balestier Road.

To get there, we took a bus down to Toa Payoh, changed a bus to take us to Balestier Road, alight and walked for 5 to 10 minutes to Lor Ampas road. All along I've pictured this place to be located at some deserted area but apparently it's not? It's located right at the side of the road.

We reached the place at around 3:30pm and I would have imagined the place to be less crowded since it was after lunchtime; but instead, it was full of people. Eating, chit-chatting, studying..


After given a seat, we were given the menu. There is no server, hence the practice is to proceed to the front …
